Burn Recovery

After leaving the Regional Burn Center, most patients are referred for follow-up outpatient care to our Burn Recovery Center. The center also provides outpatient care for people with less serious burns who are admitted through the emergency room.

The Burn Recovery Center team includes a burn surgeon, physician assistant, registered nurse, nurse practitioner, medical assistant, office coordinator, and physical and occupational therapist. This team continues to provide the highly specialized patient care provided in the Regional Burn Center.

Services include:

  • Wound care
  • Physical and occupational therapy
  • Scar management
  • Nutritional counseling
  • Support services
